The AMTA Washington Chapter 2018 Education Conference in Ocean Shores was a fantastic event! Nearly 400 attendees and instructors participated and for 200 of those attendees it was their very first conference. Whether you came for education or vacation, or a little of both, these events are really about making friends and connections, and finding little sparks of inspiration to take back to our practices.

  • The Chapter hosted a bus to bring attendees and instructors from the east side of the state and from SeaTac to the sleepy beach town of Ocean Shores.

  • Thursday morning’s Blessing and Opening Session touched our hearts and inspired many acts of kindness throughout the weekend.

  • WAMAH’s Treasure Hunt was a huge success as LMTs wandered around Ocean Shores to complete tasks that included solving riddles, rapping, singing & dancing and more, much to the amusement of the friendly locals, many who kept their shops open late for our group. Congratulations to Ginnine for winning the $500 grand prize! WAMAH is the Political Action Committee serving the massage therapy industry in Washington State.

  • 3 Lucky High Rollers from Saturday night’s Fantasy Casino Party won complimentary registration to next year’s Conference in Yakima. Grand Prize went to Lauren Elle who earned over $2 million in fantasy money at the Roulette table! Congrats to runner up Mikie B. The biggest winner was the Massage Therapy Foundation, with event proceeds topping $8000. The Massage Therapy Foundation offers community service grants for massage projects and funds research projects and the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

  • Check out the Chapter Facebook Page for more pictures from the event.
