Four Career Center Components

There are four components to Career Center and we'll cover each of them separately.  You can click on the titles below to be taken to each section.

  1. Search Openings
  2. Resume Search
  3. Post a Resume
  4. Submit or Post an Opening

To navigate to the Career Center home page, select Career Center Home from the menu at the top of all pages (circled below in red).

The Career Center Home page lists a summary of the features available within Career Center, as well as links to related pages.

1. Search Openings

When you click on Search Openings (circled above in red) you'll be taken to the Search Openings page pictured below.  You can search by keyword, category and more; or you can click on the Search button without making any selections, to see all listings.

Below is the search result with 2 Opening Found.  We'll  click on the test opening (circled below in red).

Details of the opening are below.  Click on Apply Now to submit your resume (you must have a resume on file).

2. Resume Search

When you click on the Resume Search icon (circled below in red) you'll be taken to the Search Resumes page below.  You can search by keyword, category and more; or you can click on the Search button without making any selections, to see all listings.

It's important to know the resumes are only visible to Signed In members, not the public.

Below is the search result with 2 Records Found.  We'll  click on the resume for Julie Onofrio (circled below in red).

Keep in mind that resumes on our site are entered as searchable text (seen below).  They're not Word or pdf documents.

The resume page below lists all of the candidate's information in separate categories.  At the top of the page are links to the candidate's Website and their Profile on our website (circled below in red).  These links are a great feature for expanding your exposure to others.

3. Post a Resume

On the menu at the top of all pages select Career Center and then Post a Resume (circled below in red).

Or you can go to MY PROFILE >> Manage Profile >> Resume/CV

Both methods above will take you to the Post a Resume/CV page below.  You'll see that there are instructions at every field to assist you in completing the form.  There are a few selection options at the bottom of the form, which we'll cover separately.

At the bottom of the resume form there are several selector options from which to choose.  The Classification section (circled below in red) determines how your resume will appear in the search filter.  For example, if you choose Independent Contractor, your resume will appear when a prospective employer is searching for an Independent Contractor to fill a particular role. Even if you select categories, your resume will still appear in a "search all" resume search.

The Privacy Options section (circled below in green) allow you to determine what information is visible, and whether or not to link your personal page on our website to the resume.

  4.Submit an Opening

When you click on the Submit an Opening icon at the top of a Career Center page (circled below in red) you'll be taken to the Post a Job page below.  This page can be used to post job openings, advertise office space, look for a mentor or be a mentor.

When filling out the form you'll want to choose a Primary Category (circled below in green) so that your listing is classified properly.

After completing the basic information fields at the top of the form, there are some additional areas at the bottom.

Allow online applications determines whether or not you want candidates to apply on our site, where you'll read the applications.  If you select No for online applications, you will need to provide an e-mail, phone or website link for the candidate to apply.  Type that information in the dialogue box pictured below.

The final section has a text area where you can post whatever details you choose.  And at the very bottom is where you'll type your contact information in the event we have questions about your post.
